okay so me and a buddy went wheelin the other day. we were going down this narrow road with almost vertical dirt on either side of it. around a turn i got really sideways and i overcorrected a little and went up on one of the banks, came close to rolling it, but one of the tires dug into the ground because i basically landed on it. if you can picture the truck's front end about a foot in the air and the whole body tilted at a crazy angle almost rolled over... and then bouncing down on that tire... thats what happened

anyways, my steering is mildly messed up. from a stop, i can turn barely to the left (steering wheel still turns all the way), but when i turn all the way to the right, it turns to the right normally. and when im crusing at highway speed (or any speed) and i try and turn with the curves in the road, it takes way more turning of the wheel to do so. what do you think went wrong?

Have you looked at your linkage while your BUDDY is turning the steering wheel?

no not yet. ill have my BUDDY do it later.

haha.

no it was dark when we got back and i had just enough time to post up to ck5 before school. i havn't really taken a look at it or anything. a cracked frame? can i just weld that up and be good to go?

I think I'd look at everything under there, 6000 pounds sitting on over-sized tires, with a driver playing TOKYO DRIFTcould mean at least one thing is bent or broke.

"Gran Turismo Baby!"

First thing you should do is have someone turn the wheel back and forth (with the truck on the ground) and look at the steering box to see if it moves. If it does, the bolts are loose or the frame is cracked.

If the steering box is tight, its also possible that the draglink jumped a bunch of thread and is now shorter/longer than it should be.

Its possible that you jumped/stripped the worm gear in the steering box too.

okay ill check that. we took a look at the frame nothing seems to be cracked, but then again sinc we were at work we didn't really have time to look at the wheel beeing turned. nothing looks bent or unusual... ill post back with more info when i get back from work today
