Yeah yeah, noob tech but what can I say...

I've got a wood frame, meal skin building and can't get squat on my stereo - what gives? The stereo is about 5' from a window - no good. I tied some speaker wire to the antenna and ran it from the antenna to a bare metal burglar bar - fuzzy reception for ONE station.

What can I do??

Look up fm antenna and make an external one. The metal building is limiting your radio waves.

yep need external unit .

or sat radio like i did and just pop in my unit to the extra dock when not in the vehicle.

I always feel like it's time for a fiesta when I scan the radio at work.

Our building has one brick wall, one cinder block wall, two corrugated steel walls and a steel roof and we have a hard time getting stations to come in and stay in but somehow we can get 15 spanish stations loud and clear.

That's what I do. Run a wire outside for sirius and works great in my metal building
