do i have anny other options besides tapping for threads? ideas thoughts? i need some options thanks alot,
dale

You can get fittings that are designed to go though bulkheads. Same type scenario but I don't know now thick wall they can go through or if they can work well with the curves of the housing. You could also get a weld on bung that has pipe threads in it. Or one last option is have the machine shop machine you a barb fitting out of steel with no threads drill the hole to fit that and weld it in.

alright cool, thanks, im looking for the cheapest and quickest option, i want to go out and wheel, that is the only thing holding me back /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

Just go out and buy a 1/8" NPT tap. It should fit into the hole that the stock breather was pressed into without having to drill it out more. Then just pick up a 1/8" NPT x barb fitting and hook it up to your vent line (and run the vent line as high as you can and stick one of those cheep $.99 fuel filters on the end). To keep the shavings from tapping just put some grease on the tap.

alright ill do that. the main thing i was worried about was the metal in the diff housing, diddent like that idea to much, where can i find the npt fitting at? home depot? autoparts store? thanks alot,
dale

Both, but your autoparts house is the best bet /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

duct tape for a trip or 2? /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Coat the tap with heavy grease. That should hold the chips & keep them from getting into the diff.

sweet thanks alot guys!! the day is coming soon /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

I got the tap and brass fitting at Home Depot. Most auto parts stores around here sell more of those little minibikes then they do auto parts /forums/images/graemlins/screwy.gif

ya no kidding i walk in in my typical shorts and sandals and automatically i dont know [darn], it really pisses me off.
