I can't seem to get a pump from the parts house that fits my bracket. The bracket I have fits the pumps that have the fittings clocked to the left rather than at the bottom. It has been my understanding that these are the non-metric pumps. I've looked at pumps from 70, 75, and 79 at Autozone and have gotten the same fitting location on each of them. Do I need to look for an even older model pump?

I'm sure there is a rhyme/reason for the way the pump fittings are arranged, but I've never figured it out.

You might try a car or something. Is it pretty obvious your pump is original (PS line routing pretty clean? Bracket clamping them to the frame attached?) or is it possibleit was changed in the past? My pump is off of a car, as are all the brackets, so I had to dig for hoses to get ones that fit.

Hmmm I didn't think about a car. I know both my pump and bracket aren't new. Now that I think about it, I'm still using the bracket that came off the old motor which was a 307 (weird right?) Thanks for jogging my memory.
