Metro DC/Northern Virginia?

Even those prices are out of my range for now...Im gonna be hurting to pay rent this month after buying the truck...maybe once I recover from my next surgery, I can work some OT and see what I can afford. As for labor, unless I hook up with muddybuddy, Ill be paying all out of pocket. I live in the city, have no tools, no mechanical skills, and no place to wrench on it at all. But sounds like Ill have connections on here now to get help!

I did find an 85 3/4 pick up, runs strong supposedly, good tranny, engine, plow, cap, for $1000 OBO...wont pass inspection due to bent frame from sideswipe...anyone need an engine, tranny, plow, cap? body looks good too! I just need the axles hah

PS-I JOINED just now..hope its legit secure credit card site, it just signed me up and no secure forms or clicking page after page, just one page and next thing you know Im a member? is that safe? ha

Let me know if these pics work, and what you guys think...looks pretty in the driveway, now if I just get it rolling with some proper gears and stop the oil spray Ill be good to go!! Didnt bother taking pics of the subwoofers and amps, I could care less about that stuff but I know he put money into it. It also came with an extra tailgate inner plate, extra front and rear stock driveshaft, sway bar connects and drop for the lift for it, ummm, oh 4" lift front leaf springs. Newer crate 350, new tranny cooler, new manifold and 4 barrell carb, new radiator, new paint, lots of little new things besides the lift and tires.

haha thanks...yea I asked someone about that, hardly any clearance on the exhaust..ok so the list goes on....exhaust needs fixed, rear brakes or axles are leaking, engine is leaking, and sluggish stock gearing...I hope by spring Im recovered and back to full work duty so I can make some overtime and get this thing on the trails by late spring.

This is a project truck for sure...looks pretty, but I want to have a functional truck

Hahahah!!! Well all of you have distinct advantages over me..my only mechanical experience consists of breaking my beater snowmobile countless times as a middle schooler, breaking other friends ATVs, and blowing up every part of my K5 when I was in high school, tearing it apart only to need friends that knew what they were doing to help me put it back together....so now I have a "pretty" project truck, no more money for time being, live in a city with no friends who have mechanical skills, no tools or knowledge myself...so I have a long haul to figure out how to get this thing roadworthy! Id like it to be good enough for a trail ride with you and muddybuddy, and to get back home in it! Maybe we can cruise Arlington and DC in lifted muddy Blazers ticking off all the yuppies and liberals after we are done wheeling!

Thanks for supporting our site, brother. I hope it proves to be a good investment. If you have any questions about things around here, feel free to PM(Private Message) me any time........:thumb:

hey there,

i also live in northern virginia , and work just down the road from muddy buddy. i have talked with getting together with muddy buddy a couple times but my schedule always messes me up. maybe when things slow down in my life all of us can have some type of meeting and wrenching day. best be for parts is definatly watch what others in here are selling. not many places in northern va left to get stuff.

yea lets all get together sometime, we gatta represent and go wheeling to prove that there are places to go in VA

Id love to meet all you guys. Without muddybuddy I wont be able to get my truck on the road. Im clueless, and BROKE, so my only hope is to find a good deal on axles, cheap 8 bolt rims 15" to use my current tires, and somehow fix or pay someone to fix the oil spray. After that its exhaust work probably to clear the driveshaft without ripping it off when wheeling, and Im ready to go. I bought this thing to wheel, camp, and hunt, not to pimp around like a dork. Ive been wanting to do this for years, finally got the truck, just gotta get the right axles and gears, rims, and hopefully all the other parts will bolt up and work right without costing me money I dont have!!

Im ready to get muddy as soon as the truck is
