In my shop. Doing stuff.
I have ran out of 75%/25% Argon/CO2 and 100% Argon. Has anyone tried tri-mix? Is there anything I need to know?

I figure if I can MIG stainless with it, it should not be an issue. I hate running out of shielding gas on a weekend. Was going to wait until Monday to get this trailer upgrade done, but I want it out of here tomorrow, so I only have one sitting here. Until 2 more show up Tuesday.

Anybody seen any cool lifting tools for tanks? Needs to be used upright. I can use with my forklift or engine hoist.

I know that’s way over priced, but you said cool tool. I just made a steel hook and ring out or rebar at work. Grab it by the cap. Only downfall is it tilts a little bit but not bad.

Best I can say is run a test bead and cut it

Going to try it tomorrow. I have a "K" tank that I have had to rent because they claim there are none for sale. So a paid a year up front to get 2 months free rent. It will be empty when I take it back at 1 year. I will keep an eye out for a used tank.

I did a search and just welding adds.

I will have to try it. I think it is interesting on how they say it effects the puddle as the heat will be higher.
