I swear I was only going to replace the brake shoes! BUT ............! then I thought ok I'll get the drums turned it's only $10. BUT...........! then I thought those backing plates look rusty and gross,as well as the wheel cylinders were not all that awesome & the drums could not be turned so those are new, well that led to removing the axles so off with the diff cover and what the hell pull the big gear thingy out and wow those axle tubes were clogged up good and the axles needed axle saver bearings, so then it needed a shim job and check the lash and tighten the pinion crush washer a tad and today it's going back together, O-and don't forget the new brake shoes. HA HA HA

On the bonus side I went to drop off some household hazardous waste at the dump and they have a room where you can take stuff home (FOR FREE) and I found 15-QT bottles of synthetic gear oil. I priced that stuff out and it's about $15 a bottle "SCORE"
