So I pulled my motor back in sept to reseal it after putting about 2k on it. Had a decent oil leak that kept bugging me.

Well after running it no leaks, so I took it for a spin, everytime I stopped I had a hell of a lot of fluid dripping right about where the rear Main is.

Well **** so much for fixing it. So I let it sit a month cause I was frustrated and decided to look at it today. Noticed the oil was black that was on the tranny (465)

Check the motor level and it's full. And still amber colored????

WTF??

So I got to thinking since it didn't start leaking til I drove it I am thinking the front input shaft seal is leaking

Sound reasonable? The oil pan is clean on the motor and I know I installed the rear main, so would anything else be able to dump about 1/8 of a quart on the ground every time I stop?

I will check the tranny level tomorrow and know then if it's that or not. If so great cause I found the problem. But sucks cause I have to pull the tranny out.

I guess I should be thankful my tranny and engine fluid are different colors :)

Could it be from you manual? How about from the intake manifold? I had a leak there.

No leak from the intake, all around the motor looks good.

You can see a lot around the bottom of the transmission and then also coming out of the slave cylinder slot on the side of the bellhousing, I'm assuming that's from the flywheel throwing it up

I will check the level and give it the sniff test to see .
