I got a parts truck with 3/4T axles & am about 1/2 way through my swap when I stumbled on another parts truck with a 6" lift. It's a '86 Suburban 3/4T & has a lift kit(I didn't think to ask which brand) that has rear lift springs instead of blocks. My question is do any of you fine CK5er's  know if this truck has 52" or 56" springs & if it does(or if it might) have 56"er's, whats the procedure for swapping to those in my '77 Blazer? I'm quessing I just use the shackle hangars from the Sub?

Thanks- John

Pretty sure 3/4 ton burbs got 56's but that might just be the 2wds, seems kinda random what springs GM put under what, always exceptions. Not sure on the swap to the k5 I know if you have a shackle flip you just swap sides to go from 52's to 56's. Your rear hangers should be the same as the ones on the burb so I guess just moving yours back and drilling new holes would work

Well, the fella had said the Sub had rear springs, but I went over & looked at it in person & it has blocks. Oh well! That makes it easy.

Later- John
