Now for the questions.

What tranny do I have? I am pretty sure I have an np241 because it is a floor shift but I don't know if that helps figuring the tranny.

I am planning on installing long tube headers and true dual exhaust. If I do this with a chip should I also put in a cam and if so what cam would be best for towing?

Do they make a "programmer" for this year? Does anybody know if efi live will work on this truck?

nice dooood! dont see many 92-98 4 doors. Cant help you with any of the motor stuff, but shes clean :D

Yeah sorry I worked about 130 or so hours over the last two weeks so didn't have much time to spend looking for parts or cruzin the interweb.

I took the blazer out twice since it started knocking real bad and it hasn't knocked at all. I dunno? I guess I don't need a motor anymore. My brother told me I should just total my new truck and take the motor out of it. :haha:

As for the efi live my truck isn't listed on their site so I don't think I can use it. I found a thing on summit that lets you program every function of the computer but it is like $500. :eek1: Oh well, she runs great anyway.
 
Oh yeah does anybody know what rearend I have? It looks like a 14 bolt but not sure. I want to do a rear disc swap but I haven't had time to do much research.

Either that or pull the vortec out of the tow rig to put in the blazer and drop in a duramax or cummins... Just my $.02. :D

There isn't much aftermarket support for the vortec 350. The boys over on www.pacificp.com/forum have been swapping out the computer for a newer one from an express van and using efilive with good results. Look up 0411 swap.
 
The crew cabs were all 3500's, so it will be a 14bolt Full Floater.

So will kerts kit work? I thought I read on his site that it wouldn't work for my year.

On a side note I had an electrical fire tonight at the base of the b pillar on the drivers side. The plug for the wiring that connects the cargo light, rear dome light etc started smoldering, my 4 year old saw it thank god. As soon as I touched it, it burst into flames. I had both my kids and wife with me and it was pretty scary. I pulled the negitive off the battery and smothered the fire, then cut all of the wires loose and taped up. I hate Mondays!

Thanks a lot! I will look into that. You guys know what my stock hp/tq ratings are? If I install long tube headers with true dual exhaust and an intake will my motor run lean or will the computer make up for it? How much can I expect to gain?
