milage question

So what would an 85 shortbed (fleetside) w/ 350/th350 w/ possibly 3.08's get for milage? What kind of rear gears would it take wqith the engine and tranny combo to get 20mpg?


I just had a guy stop by w/ an ok loking 85 2wd shortbed (fleetside) truck. 350/th350 claims to get 20mpg even w/ 3.08's anyone ever hear of that? maybe it's just me being used to my big sled (82 crew dually) getting 10mpg w/ 350/th400 and 3.73's I am considering it. Maybe w/o the 35's it'd be ok to do or maybe I will be evil and start parting the 75 out <insert evil laughter here>

my thoughts exactly brother but still better than my 75 or my 82... and also kinda sporty and comfy and nice I will have to post pics when I decide to go talk to the guy about swapping trucks

my k-5 with 350/350/203 gets 6.5mpg on 93 oct. but thats on 39.5's with 4.56's
