Looking good, keep it coming! One tip about your shackle flip though. You may want to try and incorperate something to help it hold on the bottom of the frame too instead off all the weight on just those 4 bolts. Just a thought. :D Any other mods you're planning on for it?

EDIT: My bad, lol. I just looked it the pics again and saw that you left the bottom ear from the stock shackle. Pretty good idea!

I plan on using the axles off of my old rig. They are a little small for 38's but will have to do, till I can swing 1tons.

GM d44 / 5.89s/ crossover steering / lock right / mount for hydro assist steering

Ford 9 / 31 spline / 5.86/ full spool

Built the driver side shackle drop, now I just need to round off the plate and add paint.:D

This should be a nice righ when you're done. You're officially the first person I know of to put a ford 9" in a full size K5. (I'm not saying it hasn't been done before, just that I've never heard of it until now). Should be plenty strong for 38's if you're good to it. :waytogo:

Sold the 1/2 tons and picked up a FF 14 bolt and 52's for the front end.

OMG GONNA KILL WITH THAT SHACKLE FLIP!!!!! juuuussttt kiddinnnggg i have home brew one as well nice work!!! those r some deep gears!!

hahah I know right. If they are home brew, they won't work:wink1:.

I need the deep gears for the trails in my area. The rig will be 90% trail and 10 % street(no hiways).

I got a pretty good amount of lift out of the home brew shackle drop.
