I plan on regearing and putting in lockers late this summer but I run a FT 203 and want to be able to disengage the front axle when needed. I was also planning on rebuilding my 203. Does the milemarker part time kit actually rebuild the 203 or do I need to buy sometype of kit as well.

Does the milemarket kit come complete with everything you need, lockouts and such?

School me please

The part time kits can come in two different ways, with or without hubs for the front. Theres the 501 part time kit which replaces the spider gears in the center differential and then theres the shaft kit that replaces the whole differential with a solid shaft. I think most people would recommend the shaft kit to you, as it holds up better. I ran one for a while with no complaints.

The part time kits does not rebuild the case. I would just buy an overhaul kit and use that as you rebuild the case. I would really look at the chain closely, maybe even just replace it anyways if it has some miles on it. They are pretty bad about stretching and the 203 isnt to fun the rebuild.

Replace the chain if you have it apart, it is no fun doing it twice, and yes, this is from experience.

i did this about a year ago. I did the rebuild kit, milemarker chain, milemarker part time output shaft conversion and offroad design twin stick shifters. I actually just took this stuff out last weekend to swap to a different transmission and case. It is pretty easy to do with tools and some know how or you could just buy one already done from someone...
