I know this can vary alot depending on your set up but just looking for a general range here....

I air down off road for the obvious benifits but have yet to do so wwith my military beadlocks. I am running 12 bolts hutchenson with runflats in them. For tires i have the Goodyyear wrangler (old style) 37x12.5x16.5. I have read all about the PVC incerts and what to go with them eventually but right now I am outta cash so the runflats gotta stay. They are the rubber runflats (some are 2 peice some are 1 peice) and since I plan to go PVC I am not going to mess with chopping them down. I know if the PSI is too low the runflat will contact the tire and chew it up. I have read on some othere sites of 10PSI being the limit but that is typical on lighter rigs then our fullsizes.

How Low are you airing down with stock Runflats and 37 OZ's?

Thanks for the input.

On trails I run down to 3 psi. Sometimes I run on the rubber runflats. Below 10psi dirt and wood will pack in the beads and leak air with the rubber inserts. I dont really care about the tires because they are cheap so I run them low and beat the crap out of them.

I ran 5psi with my stiff 38" tsl's running PVC inners. The goodyears aren't as stiff so maybe 7?

IMO, depends on the style of wheeling.

For pure rock crawling, single digits win.

If you have decent suspension and drive it hard, really low pressures can pop tires. Double beadlocks don't help that.

Either way, you have to experiment with it. Err on the high side.

WOW,,, How are you guys running single digit pressures on 5K+ rigs and not hanging up on axles over everything???
Even running my 42s with pneumatic beadlocks loses anywhere between 3-5 inches of clearance between 28 street psi ad 15psi off road. Just Curious?
The military 37s i ran at 18psi or my cut and shaved 14 and 60 would be constant boat anchors on the trail.

You should probably change your username...:D

Thanks for all the replies.

As for wheeling its a mix. Mostlet New England trails with granite, mud etc. I think I will start some where between 10 and 15 psi.

Yeah I typically run 5-6 up front and 3-4 in the rear. My tires dont even start to bulge until 6-7 psi.
