I bought a set of 11.00R16 Michelin XL (39x11 on 16x6.5 rim) off of eBay last week with all having 80+% tread on them.
I drove down and picked them up; man, let me tell you!! For 'small' tires they're heavy as hell, at 100lbs a piece.
I can't see anything puncturing these things, except for maybe sharpened rebar!!

i wana pick up a set or two of them so i can sell the 39.5 iroks and then save up and eventually get 42" iroks. id love to run them, should help mpg since they are so thin

Weight one of your Iroks. It'll interesrting to see what they weigh.
You can forget about mpg; these tires are way too heavy!! I just had mine mounted on steel one ton rims this morning. I'll go and weigh them in a bit and post the result here.

haha i mean like there will be less air resistance, cuz my iroks measure out to 38x15, not 39.5x13.50 like they are suposed to:mad:

i need the money, and ill made a good bit from selling the iroks to buy XL's. my eventual plan is to go h2s with 42" iroks

thanks man, ive already been in contact with him and im goin to pick a set up.

With all due respect I got four tires in way better condition with 80+% tread on them for $330.00 on eBay from etiresmarket1. Of course it was an auction, so I could have paid more or less. And I think they wanted $120.00 to ship from San Diego, CA to Boise, ID.

Muddy think about it... Your not going to get better mileage... the tires are too heavy. Even though there is less resistance, its take alot more to get them turning...

well i need the money, so selling the iroks to run XL's is an acceptable way to get a bit of money. i wish i had gone 42's to begin with :doah: eventually ill likely get some, but for now the XL's will do just fine.

84cucv has a bunch of sets of tires, and hes hookin me up for a alot better deal than the other guy:bow:

I just got mine delivered today. I don't think they are THAT much heavier than a 40" MTR.

I have 4 tires and 2 tires w/wheels - the original military wheels. Now those 2 are HEAVY! I'm going to put the lone tires on the scale and see what they weigh.

cool thanks. i cant wait to get the pizza cutters. the 40" iroks on 15x10 steelies werent exactly light either.

I'm excited to get mine mounted, too. I'm anxious to see how they do on the trail. Although they are getting a snow test first. :D

Plus it'll be cool running the military tires on a military blazer. :D :D
