military snatch strap

I don't know the prices, but check with the folks at http://www.ultimate4wheeldriveperformance.com They sell a 30-foot double-strap that's rated at something like 58K lbs. :eek1: And it's brand new, so you don't have to wonder if it's dry rotted from age... :-)

16 feet is a bit on the short side. Makes it too easy for a throttle happy yahoo to slam into your rig just after you get them out of a jam. :doah: 60 feet is something that would rarely be required unless you play in some major league mudholes where ya can't get close to the stuckee.
 
Those look like the old style slings the military used to use to slingload stuff under helo's.
 
I have the 16 foot 44.5K strap...ive never been on either end of it, but my friend has helped yank someone out with it and said that thing doesn't not have ANY give in it. Im not saying don't get one, but i wouldn't use it as my main strap. I have a 30 ft 40K lb keeper strap thats my main strap, nice and stretchy, and i would only connect the 16 foot strap to the end if i had to...my buddy said his back hurt afterwards...Some of those straps go cheap, i got mine for like $18 shipped, so it was worth it. It would make a good strap to winch from if you used a hi lift or something of that nature tho.

I sell them... well the 40' 4 ply rated at 47k for $40 each.. I have sold so many thus far.... people are all satisfied.... :wink1:

mine are brand spankin new..

and yes they are not really snatch straps..
they are the cargo straps used to parachute helicopters and hummvees down to the ground :laugh:

yeah look at my pics...
the 6ply 67k ones have the nicer straps holding them together.. the 40' use black tape....
