Hey,
Just checking to see who in Colorado owns a CUCV or any other military vehicle. There was legislation that was passed which ended up restricting essentially ALL military vehicles to off-highway usage. The CO DMV is not issuing tags for these any longer as of last year.
Thanks,

Yeah, @Shawn has one, he can tell you all about it.

It's worse. From what I'm finding out the cause is because the person or company that the state contracted to revamp the DMV software didn't allow or "forgot" to include military vehicles. It was going to cost $45k to fix it. Money had been appropriated to do so, but the dem controlled house and senate (state level) gutted the bill.

Hopefully we can get some traction on this.

I am not very fond of WY. To cold...to windy. No state tax is a plus.

I work oil and gas and besides the military vehicle issue i was unaware of the state has shot themselves in the foot as far as my oil and gas job goes. Still drilling some surface holes close to the WY border south of Cheyenne but i hear permits are getting hard to come by.

Land and home prices are the other issue. I received or will receive in the neighborhood of $160k in inheritance of which 30k paid off my truck. It was actually 180k but uncle sam took 23K out of my step dads pre tax savings. Point to this is that 130k might get you close to an acre but usually less in fruita. You can get more acres out towards the state line where i rather live but it is also in the stupid money price range...with no water or power and i have been told there is no water to drill for. I was hoping to buy an acre out there, drill a water well...go solar with geny back up and build a barndaminium for that 130k and call life good....not.

I'm being facetious about headin' north to WY. I'm here to stay. I've only been in Eastern WY, kinda nice, I think I'd like Western WY better. Good luck on the property, sounds cool. Yeah, O&G is hurting thanks to all the liberal out-of-staters that are now able to vote turning CO from purple to blue. The small farm I grew up on in E. Kansas produced more methane than the wells in CO.

Shrooms are now de-criminalized in the City and County of Denver, ha!

Yeah, thanks. I signed it in Nov. I couldn't find the thread when I searched. I have gotten a hold of Peter M. who started the petition.

@ramack
I noticed You posted this on SS on the 29th. Any updates? I might have an M1008 in my future.
