Yeah, CARC does that. Looks awesome wet but then fades out. Big Ugly's kinda started to get the fade a bit. Spent all summer outside at my buddy's though.
 
Nah, all European forests are that color green, didn't ya know?
 
I know someone here in AZ with a CARC tan M1009. I don't know if it was common or not (or if someone used CARC tan after it was auctioned and it's not even original) but it's still got the stenciled markings for tire pressure on the fenders and even a soldier's name on the tailgate...

Not as common as the camo or olive drab ones... but not ultra rare either. I like the desert camo ones!
 
Yep, totally common with units and/or vehicles destined for desert climates. Most of the CUCV's involved in the Middle East since Desert Storm have ended up with that tan paint.
