I would like to get a Millermatic 35 Mig welder for sheet body use. Anyone have good experience with this model? I need to weld in some rockers, floors and patches for the rear quarter panels. What should I look for in the MIG?

You mean a 135? i have a Millermatic 135, and it's a great machine for a 110 volt.

It is very good on sheet metal, I run .023" wire and 75/25 mixed gas. The heat is very tunable due to the infinite voltage control (VS less spendy machines that only have 4 or 5 'taps' to choose from)

I have no trouble welding 3/16" stuff, and even the occasional 1/4" plate with it. For 1/4" plate I will usually swap to the gasless flux cored wire though. It is not as pretty, but it digs much harder and deeper.

At any rate, I haven't had a lick of trouble with my Miller in the 4 years or so I've had it.

That Miller 35 will work just fine for sheetmetal.....ae long as it is in good condition. Those were pretty good machines back in the day. You can weld heavier steel with it too, I don't remember the capacity on them though. Probably 1/4" max. I prefer to run .023 wire on sheet metal, but .030 as well as .035 will work too.
