Mini Spools for a D60?

What about puting a mini spool in the d60? Would be a lot cheaper than a locker. What would be a problem with this? I'm thinking steering but with the 2" ram and all I have planned I'm thinking maybe I will have that covered.

the problem with locking the front end and steering, is not so much being able to "steer" the vehicle, its making the truck go in the direction you point the front wheels, with both front wheels locked together, spinning the same speed, your truck will tend to want to go straight ahead..
