i just bought a rear cv shaft and it was for an 8" lifted blazer, i have 6" and i just put in an easy inch last night thinking it should work, because its only 2.25" longer then my stock shaft.but i have about 3/4" until the shaft bottoms out into my 208. so if i move my axle back 1.5", will it be enough to drive around without bottoming and cracking my 208 off? my future plans are to get a shackle flip and 4" springs with the zero rate.so im hoping i can atleast drive around with no wheeling until then. o ya its a stock length slip yoke if that matters.

You really should measure with the suspension at rest , and the suspension flexed and see how different it is , and get it cut the right length .

Although the static mesaurement could get you really close , mine was just called in with the mesaurement of the rig at rest , and I haven't been able to bottom it out , nor pull it out wheeling yet .

i finished moving my axle back 1.5" back last night, i think it will be alright, its sticks out about 2.5" out of the rubber dust seal, so it can move about 3.5" in before bottoming. but im going to do some flex test and measuring before i go wheeling, thanks man
