Took the semi in to get a windshield. When I drove up in the Jimmy to get the semi, the manager noticed my cracked windshield. What he didnt see, we're the weld burns and stuck on slag.

He asked me if I needed it changed also. Already spent $220 on the semi. Told him no. He proceeds to ask me if my radio works. Looking at the Jimmy, he figured it didn't. I told him I have XM in it. He proceeds to tell me they have a windshield with the antena plug broke off. I ask how much. He said $100 installed.

can you use the antenna part of it? What is broken? Cause I don't know anything about that stuff.

I took it. 2 new windshield today. the antena won't work. I can not tolerate regular radio. The commercials are annoying.

The wires are in the lamination. A small plug at the bottom, in the middle, goes to the radio.

I get the guys in the mobile truck to come to my house and do mine...They are usually 110-120 but 140 for a truck. To replace a windshield is an art (to me)

Who cares about the antenna. In my dodge and my dad's old truck I installed a powered antenna and stuck it under the dash. They're cheap and pick up better IMO.
