ok,
I can't see a damn thing out this original mirror. I would like to have the convex glass for the passenger side, but my mirrors stay adjusted really well (except slamming the doors) so I don't want to chance buying junk aftermarket mirrors.
Anyway, I bought this piece of glass from Pepboys that is cut to shape and convex. They supply me with double sided tape. Well, because it's convexed, it doesn't sit flat on the old glass, only the sides touch.
I'm wondering what the brotherhood would use to glue them together. I might fill in the gap with some clear silicon as cleanly as possible. I could also controllably break the ends of glass on the original, then the centers will touch, but that leaves me with a broken mirror. arg
