i just bought a lifted 88 k5 with 35's for $800. it had a misfire so i put in new plugs wires cap and rotor. it still misfires. anyone know what could be the cause? im not very good with carbs so i woud greatly appreciate some help. thanks

When does it misfire? At idle, heavy load only?

It could be spark (bad module or pick-up) and it could be fuel (plugged filter, dirty injectors, etc.). Is it rythmic like it's always missing on the same cylinder or more random?

Come to think of it, for $800, it could be a bad head gasket, wiped cam or almost anything.

its sort of at idle, but mostly under heavy load. like from a stop ill floor it or at least 50% throttle it just falls on its face n its only got 35" tires. and yeah i heard the 305's are notorious for the cam going bad
