1977 Custom Chevy Blazer- this was my first truck when I was 13. My dad built it for me. We fell on hard times when my grandpa got sick and we had to move, so we had to sell it(well trade it for a motorhome). I am 23 now and I have CASH money to buy this truck back!!!!! It was sold somewhere near Indianapolis Indiana. Please please please help me find this truck!!! Its a 1977 Chevy k 5 blazer, the top was removed and a full headboard put in with a sliding glass window, to make it look like a regular pickup truck. This was no hack job either it was done right and very nice!! It also had an early 91 front clip with the double mini headlights. It had mickey Thompson Baja belted tires on it when it was sold which I'm sure are long gone by now. It had fender flares. Paint was gloss black and chrome trim, red interior lifted enough to run 40's but I believe it was on 36s with 3/4 ton running gear auto tranny 350 small block.

I know but that was and still is my dream truck! I gotta at least try? If I knew how to post pics to this forum I would I can email them but idk how to post them

Well this is my first time ever using a forum, but it seems to be the easiest way to get info to and from truck enthusiasts. I am doing all of this on a smart phone so its a little more complicated. I will try to join the site tomorrow on a computer.

load the picture to photobucket or whoever, then copy the link here

there are a lot of guys in that area (by "that area" I mean east of me) :D

K85 Octane thanks for the info! I'm new to all of this. If I can find some more picswhen I get home I will post them asap. Thanks to anyone and everyone who has replied and replies in the future :thumb:

try posting on craigslist in the state it was sold. Also maybe if you have vin # carfax and see what info you can find on it. Good luck and hope you find it!!!!

If you have the VIN, and know a police officer, see if the VIN can be checked for where it is registered. If the officer is a good friend, you might even get a name. They are not supposed to do this, so ask the correct officer.

Damn guys I never even thought about that. When I get home I'll go through my files to see if I still have it! That's an awesome idea! :doah:

Several years ago I was at my cabin and I had some visitors at 3am (actually they were theives returning for more). I got there license plate and reported it to the local sheriff who just didn't seem to care. So after doing a search for "license plate lookup" I found a site called docusearch.com and for $39 I was able to get some valuable info from their report, including the name of the registered owner, but because I'm in CA they couldn't give me their address. All I needed to do was give docusearch a reason for why I wanted this info. If I remember correctly, one of their 'private investigators' called to ask. Now granted, docusearch doesn't offer license plate lookups for IN but you should be able to find a similar place and hopefully the state you choose will allow you to get the address of the registered owner. If not then at least you have a name to search for on whitepages.com etc. Good luck!!

Use carfax, might give you a more recent idea of where the truck is. Bit of a longshot, but probably worth it. Again you need a VIN.
