There are no brackets, you just bolt the seat to the floor.

How did the ones before 78 bolt in, the blazer is a1976 and the seat I have is from a 1987
I am confused.
You mentioned latches in the rear is that on your seat?
If so you need the pockets in the floor which is what I thought you had.
I did a simple solution, I cut a slot in the floor and put a round bar under the floor.
The front brackets will bolt to the floor, you just need to offset the hole about 1/2"

Ok Thanks sorry to confuse you, I needed the pockets in the floor thank you

You need a year appropriate seat. Your truck and seat won’t jive unless you want to do some fabrication and cutting. Doing that is probably pointless and more trouble than its worth when it’s far easier to just get a 76 or earlier seat.

I took out my rear seat in my 78’ to put in an 80’s third row suburban seat which wasn’t a plug and play. Needed some tweaking on account of how the arm-rests attach. ( see picture for latches). Seat “rolls” upward on that hook latch to goes into the bed...

My old 78’ rear seat is now my “couch” in the garage.

Get the right year

Ok Thanks

The seat I bought has latches in the back of the seat should I try to find a older seat for mine
As I mentioned earlier, if you want the nice feature of fold and tumble, you can do it easily or spend more time and money and do it right and look like factory.
I did it easy.
It cost $5
And it took 30 minutes
