So I want to drive back and visit my sister in Missouri. My rig is maxed out in height in California and just passes all the height requirements for all the states back to Missouri. Of course Missouri changed things up on me and they have a max 27" front bumper height requirement. Question is for you in Missouri... Is it really an issue? after reading how lax'ed they are on other things I'm really wondering if it would be a problem? Sis lives in Cabool just outside of Springfield so chances are I can sneak in and out without incident. Or I could make a bolt on Nerf or something if needed. What do you local guys think, Issue or not?

They dont really push the issue where Im at, unless your being stupid. Lots of trucks around here are way over the law.

How much are you over the Missouri law.

The lowest part of my bumper is right at 40"

Your seriously going to drive that thing cross country? :haha:

Actually, Literally Yes! I will be finishing up the Expo Trailer and plan on a week of back road wheeling there and another week or two wheeling back home. Lots of good off roading between there and here. Its a great DD, Why not?

Does that matter? I see California CHP's ticketing you Zonies for dark tint windows?

Uh, they shouldn't be, we're not residents of the state and our tint laws are not as strict.

I was pulled over a few months ago out there while on a mini vacation, the CHP basically just said it was a "any reason to stop" type of deal just to check for illegal immigrant trafficking. Said the tint was too dark, but being I wasn't a legal resident, it just turned into a mild investigation type thing to make sure everything else was ok. He didn't even run my license, just chatted for a few and off I went.

Took longer to get off to the side of the freeway and stopped, than the whole conversation took.

Good to know... Yeah, maybe there was more to it than the guy was telling me, Usually is. :D

I wouldnt worry about it. There are tons of mall crawlers around here with huge lifts. It all depends on if your being stupid and the cop actually knows the law.

Mines pretty tall and iv never been bothered here or there, loud exhaust plus lift makes them look twice... All I have ever been told was dont act like an idiot, and dont make alot of noise, and we dont mind how big it is within reason of course

LOL, you guys don't miss a thing! Just took a couple of leafs out of the front pack this last weekend and haven't replaced the front shaft as of yet. I have a fresh engine, tranny, and t case to install in the next few weeks so it might be out till then.:thumb:
