I came across a missouri offraod crossmember for my 73. I had read the tech review but was wondering if anybody had any other opnion about it good or bad? I also know that ORD has one and was wondering if the newer ORD model was better? Thanks for the input

M.O.O. went out of business a loooong time ago.

I know they went out of business. What im saying is I have One of M.O.O crossmembers and was trying to grt opnions about the quality of it.

top quality parts. I have there truss and cover combo on my rear 10 bolt, I am sure it has helped that axle handle the 35's and 37's I been runing on it for years.

i have a moo engine crossmember collecting dust cause it fit like crap and he told me story after story when it didnt show up on time. when i got it i tracked the ups tag # and it was ready to pick up from his shop for close to 2 weeks. but he didnt have it ready.

in my opinion moo sucked a$$

go ord or kirt diy4x vender here. both good stuff. and still here selling and going strong.

Same here, My MOO crossmember was a HUGE pain in the ass to fit up. I got it in, but I have purchased TWO ORD crossmembers since my MOO. One for my K5 to replace the MOO and one for my Burb. I GAVE AWAY the 14FF truss I paid 200 plus 70 bucks shipping for. What a piece of s**t that thing was. It would not fit. I had to cut it apart and reweld it back together. The 14FF diff cover I bought from MOO was a POS too. I'm glad that company is gone. I will run the diff cover on my crew cab because I fixed it. But compared to Ruffstuff and DIY, It's junk.

It's funny how NOONE ever said ANYTHING till that company was gone. I talked to a bunch of unhappy people before they went under, but noone wanted to say a thing. I didn't want to stir up crap since I was the new guy for the most at the time. But never again. IF a vendors stuff is crap, I'm calling them on it. I can tell you I have been VERY happy with RUFFSTUFF and DIY4X4 and NWF. I don't like the fact EVERYONE'S fabbed parts come all sharpe edged, wish they would debur their stuff atleast a bit, BUT, that I can deal with. I debur it all myself.

Get the ORD or DIY crossmember, you will be happy, you will just have to debur it yourself before paint unless you like sharp egdes to rip your knuckles on.

Not to high-jack, but, is DIY now making a crosmember? I have not seen one yet, I know Kert said they were " in the works" but I was not aware they were out. If they are , COOL !!

DIY is not making one...yet. My brother has the M.O.O crossmember in his suburban framed M-37 and it fit just fine. If you already have it and it fits, I say go ahead and use it. If it doesn't fit get rid of it and go with the ORD xmember

The ORD has way more clearence built into it. IF it becomes a problem with really flexy suspension I will swap it. I got both ORD crossmembers for 150 each in new condition never installed from a couple of CK5 members. Thanks guys! :D You can never have too many truck parts. It could be for future builds too.
