We are currently using Mitchell Shop manager with mitchell ondemand. We signed on for a year mainly for a trial. Pretty much both of us that use it don't care for it. It is too cluttered, and takes so much time entering vehicles in (especially when the customer is impatient).

Our contract is up next month, so we are looking at our options. I have heard others prefer ALLDATA but I have no experience with it. What is most shops using or prefer? I am open to all opinions. Thanks guys!

I always preferred AllData for repair information. There are times it doesn't have what you need, but I don't know that anyone outside of the manufacturer does. Heck a lot of the time when I worked on Mitsubishis I would use AllData for the Mitsus instead of their specific repair info. It was a lot easier to navigate than Mitsus software.

I have no experience with the repair order end of things, just the repair information. My shop switched to Mitchell OnDemand right before I left, and I hated it vs AllData. I found AllData easier to navigate and it seemed to have move info. This was all a few years back of course.

Yeah using mitchell ondemand it horrid. I can never find anything on there. It always brings up random crap that is irrelevant to the job we are working on
