There is a local guy advertising a 1980 Chevy crewcab truck that apparantly has a Mitsibushi Diesel and a 5 speed standard of some sort in it. I've never heard of such a thing before, is it factory or a retrofit?

If it is a factory thing, are those diesels any good? He only wants 400 for the whole thing...

Dodge and International both used Mitsu light duty diesels, back in the late 70s-early 80s. Never heard of GM using them. My bet would be an Isuzu diesel.

Yeah, could be from one of the GM cabover light/Med duty trucks...those were rebadged Izuzu's.

Could be an interesting swap.

Gotta be retrofit. The only diesel in 1980 -- at least here in the 'States -- was that evil Olds 350 diesel, and only used in C10's, which rules out crewcabs.

OTOH, $400 is cheap, so if it runs, it'd be a fun project/thing/whatever!
