ok girlfriends brother has a 90 montero that the HVAC fan that does not work.
now over the phone i was told the fuses are not blown (no promises that he checked the right ones)
what do i check? i was wondering if on the older vehicles they were head unit was individually controlled or linked together.
lights on the head unit work
when turning the a/c on the compressor does not turn on and the clutch does not engage.
all movents of fan switch does not change anything.
the reason i ask is because i know on the newer chevys that the head unit is all intergrated and can be the root of the problem and need to just be simply replaced.
im thinking that about this and if not what else can i have him check?
