By the way everyone. I forgot to say that I'm going to check with some of the local motels in Moab to see if they will give a group rate to any of us. Let me know if you are interested in something like this. The more people, the better chance on getting a good rate. Dave

What you need a hotel for I thought we were sleepin on the rocks?? It's gonna be perrty hard have a bomb fire in a hotel room!! Just bring your camping gear and screw the cityslickin hotel room!!! It's time to be one with nature and machine!!!!!

Yeah, I'm with Burt........you are going to miss out on half the fun by staying at a hotel.....I'm guessing there will be plenty of "Tom Foolery" going on around the campfires.

There will likely be as many stories about the "after-hours" stuff, as there will about the trails/breakage/wheelin'

I went to Moab for my first time last Easter. It was as cold as a witches teat. We stayed at KOA Kampground (warm bathrooms, laundry and all types of wheelers were there). At night we could here welders and grinders going off. It was peaceful but damn cold. We drove without doors or a top from Flagstaff, Arizona to Moab. We drove through a snowstorm and when we got to Moab we ate at Denny's. Then it started raining (it was super cold). We had to throw a tarp over the cage and cab. All of our gear (i.e. clothes, groceries) got soaked. It was still fun though. Before I went my friend told me be ready for anything. "It can be so hot that you get sunburned and are in shorts and t-sirts, or so cold that it snows".

I think I might hotel it. There is nothing like sleeping in a germ ridden (albeit soft bed) after busting knuckles fixing your (but hopefully someone elses) rig.

And I hope you did not use the phrase "This event is sure to make the Easter Jeep Safari look lame and meaningless" especially since this event has been going on for years and I go to it myself and I really do not want my peers to think that I am an azzhole.

Naa, comon Juan you don't need a used bed full of bed mites to sleep in!! Bring a tent and an air mattress & lots of blankies to keep you warm at night. I doubt it will snow in August! Plus if you drink enough beer you will sleep all night long and wake up to the sound of CHEVY POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Besides, im sure Steve (Burt) would let you snuggle up to him if you get cold, hes nice like that, kept a smile on his face even after i smacked him in the head with a ratchet strap, (that was you, right Steve?) Ya man, you gotta camp, Blazerfest was great with everybody passing out by the campfires, and the wild pigs creeping up on us, I mean , campfire aside, you can't run around drunk chasing wildlife if you're in a hotel, (No flame mail please, no piggys were harmed, i couldn't run that fast all drunk and stuff). Plus thats half the fun of these outings, sleeping by your truck, getting all dirty, hanging out with the boys, (and girls). Other pluses, Hotels frown on the use of potatoe guns on the premisis, its fun to mess with drunk friends, i could go on forever here. Camping is where its at. Now watch, now that i've said this , i'll show up in an RV and get beaten.

Steve, where have you been? Just like many other posts on here It's a joke! I'll be out there on Easter too.
As for the final name, I guessed I missed something. Blazer Bash 02 works for me

As for the camping crew, Enjoy! I'll be there to party with the best of you, right after a nice shower to rinse the red dirt out, a steak dinner and a shot or two at Woody's. After a couple days, just make sure your not up front. I like to keep the windows down.
