So it seems age is catching up with me .
Last time at the Bash, I stayed at Motel 6, as always.

Well, see-through towels and Soviet-era bar of soap don't cut it for me any longer :(. Yeah, the coffee is free, but at $115/night (that's for end of April...CruiseMoab) is it really free? Then again, is it really coffee...?:wink1:

Anyways, I know a bunch of guys stayed at the Aarchway Inn - how was that? Any feedback (well, except for that wedding...:doah:) would be appreciated - thanks, michael

I to am curious about the Archway

If there is not any real feedback I am staying at the Moab Inn. Besides they have a Pool that is indoor/outdoor I think and that is a good thing for the boy.

The Archway is one of, if not the nicest hotel I've stayed in in Moab. They have acres of parking, (nobody else really has parking for trailers) nice rooms, reasonable rates etc. The wedding wasn't that bad in fact it was kind of funny watching all of the people stagger around trying to find their car. They won't have another party like that there again though.

Mom and Dad really liked the Aarchway Inn, and they are generally picky about that kind of stuff. I agree with bigblock72, the parking for tow rigs is awesome.

I would recommend The Archway to anyone. Besides the wedding brouhaha my only other complaint was being on the bottom floor, kinda noisy door slamming, floor creaking.

This year I will request a second floor room without an adjoining room door. These were all small problems but correctable by room location. They serve a good continental breakfast with plenty to eat.

I haven't gotten a reservation yet in anticipation of some sort of bargain price like last year. They need to have 2 people too make reservations with for ck5 people. I called and made my reservation and then had them send me a confirmation email which I printed to take along. It was a good thing because the desk person knew nothing about the discount price.

I think the wedding party really through them for a loop, the manager told me they would never hold a complete wedding there again.

I would guess there is room to park 25 or 30 tow rigs and trailers in that large lot. If someone were to mark off parking lanes it would be real handy.

I liked it the pool was nice the wedding was funny kids got a laugh out of it. Food was good, and they did have lots of parking. My only complaint was no internet so no live BB updates.

Slickrock has cabins too and that is where a lot of people will be staying if you want to be near the "action". :D

The slick rock cabins are a bit small, I'll be bringing the wife and 2 kids and my buddy with his Toyota.:( Hope I don't miss out on too much "action"

A guy I know stayed in one of the KOA cabins and he wasn't too impressed. You might check them out closely and make sure they are big enough because I seem to remember him not liking the size. It could be he stayed in the smallest cabin they offer.

I know Moab Rim Campark has some good cabins. We've stayed in the cabins that have a shower and kitchenette and they had enough room for our family of 4. They are listed on their site at $69/night. They also have "camping" cabins without showers at $49/night but I haven't stayed in those.

Actually the cabins at Moab Rim Campark have A/C. That was about the biggest selling point for me.

Arch Way now only has 1 room left.

They must have had some cancellations as I have called for the last two months at various times and they were booked.

If you want a hotel this is about as close to the Slick rock Campground as you can stay and still have a nice hotel.

Well Guys,
I'm sorry to say your going to have to put up with my a$$ for another year!!
I couldn't get a room at the archway and most of the places are booked so I
guess I'm stuck at Motel 6 again this year ($104 per night).
I have lots to tell about all the stuff I've been through lately but at least I'm
going to be there. If you need some trail leader assistance, I'll be there.
I might have a open seat this year too. See ya there!
More news to come in the lounge.........................
