Just for the record you do know there is a difference between a road chest and a top box right?

Yep. The one i ended up with was a top box style.

When i was searching for snap on , i was looking for a road chest like this:

That's the road chest I have. Except mines about 30 years old now. That's the difference quality makes.

But why would you want that much weight in an off road truck?

Its a weekend tow/travel rig. I do a lot of boat service for myself and friends out of it, as well as some home repair and emergency repairs as needed.

I'm prepared for anything!

Anyone ever use one of the Montezuma truck boxes? Look interesting but I've never seen one in person or found someone who has used one. They looked easier to get tools from than digging in current boxes.

They are engineered to sit in a service truck and bounce around full of tools. And survive. Thicker gauge metal overall. And double welded construction. Plus the drawer cover that comes down with the lid. Supposed to keep elements off your tools better. When the lid is closed.

There are hundreds of them in use around here. They're a great road box. Lots of farmers have them. Very well built.
