modern seats

anyone installed modern seats out of something like a 04 gmc into a 71 k5?

not into a 71 but I did in my 76

i would think it basically the same thing right? how did they fit? did you modify anything? i expect to have to drill new holes and add some metal to make it beefier, but ive heard of people saying they are too tall for some applications and need to be shortened.

I put 2004 seats from a pickup in my 87 K5. Worked out using some of the original mounting holes.

Now I have a comfortable and functional console and middle seat if needed.
