For those of you who have ground down cardan joints what is the max angle you are able to achieve? I have been measuring off this surface in comparison to the driveshaft being level at 0 degrees

My original angle measured is about 10 degrees and with some grinding I have achieved 14 degrees.

Should I keep at it for a few more degrees or is this a substantial increase?

The interference is the inner ball and cup. You can pull it apart and grind on it to get some more angle out of it. There is an article on doing it on a toyota shaft. I ground the yokes and part of the inner part on mine on my jeep and barely got any results. After I had it past its operating angle and blew out the cup and ball it went a good 10 degrees more. I stretched the wheelbase after that so my angle is mild now.

I just ground the stops and got all I needed with my ord springs on the front shaft. Took 5 min.

I ground the stops as much as I felt comfortable with. I didn't gain much. It'll have to work itself out next weekend.
