mohave heaters by flex a lite?

Anybody running one of these? I just bought one. I was just wondering if anybody else has run them in a k5 and if so how did you mount it? I am thinking about a flat braket the bolts to the dash and the firewall and then bolting the heater to it just below the glove box. I also thought about taking the glove box out and mounting it there but the passenger is going to get all the heat.

there is a vent kit for it... if you got it you could aim the heat towards the driver or where ever. The same kit also has a port to allow you to hook the heater up to your defrosting system.

Let me knowwhen you figure it out. I have been contemplating running one of these. Want to rip out as much factory stuff in the interior and run custom everything when I get the cage and this is going to be one of the upgrades.

update on the heater.


It insalled perfectly and it works pretty good. I would say that if you live up north you would need one a little bigger then the 12000 btu one i have. I live in pa so that will give you an idea. It works ok till it gets down around 10*. Other then that its good the defrost works good and all in all i am glad i bought it.

Anybody got pics of one of these installed? What did you do with the fan speed switch? Is it a "toggle"(?) like OE or a knob you rotate?
