Prior to moving overseas to head up security at a US Embassy. I took my DD 96' 2door Tahoe to my parents in Washington state.

Sitting In the wet led to a discovery of a small leak that was never a problem in SoCal. Which led to mold.

As a result, I gutted the interior and used this event as a great excuse to apply ALs Hear & Noise reducer, followed by ALs bed liner.

I am without an angle grinder to take the rusty patch to bare steel. Fortunately that area is completely exposed with all the seats and panels in. So I prepped every area but that ha ha.

Heat & Noise reducer goes on pretty easy. Just like a thick paint.

Used a textured roller.

So far it is taking forever to dry though.

Anxious to hear how well it works for you. I have a large setup waiting for once I get around to finishing the motor install and stuff. I have a little more rust to fix as well but I'm just focusing on the mechanical stuff before I move on to interior projects.

Wow, that steering wheel is crazy. Never seen that before!

I see whole interiors like that or worse often here in salvage yards..
I have no doubt that mold can make you very ill too,I used to get sick a lot when I worked at the junkyard..all kinds of nasty molds, bacteria, etc in junked cars that sat a long time--mouse crap and other animal wastes inside many of them too...

One car I saw at another salvage yard,a small station wagon, had all its windows and doors duct taped shut, and it had large orange "BIOHAZARD" warning stickers all over it,stating NO parts were to be removed,or the doors opened up--evidently someone died in it that had some serious contagious disease!...scary stuff!....
