im thinking of removing my molding on my truck insted of replacing it...what did yall do about the holes in the quarter pannels???i know you can fill them in but i dont wanna repaint...gimme some ideas...

I've heard old-school ways of of tacking in nail heads in the holes to fill 'em. You'd still need some sort of repaint, though.

buddy of mine used a grinder to clean up the holes and then used a MIG welder to filll them in. he welded them so that they were higher than the rest of the panel and then used the grinder to level it all out. he had to repaint but it looked darned good.

color matched caulk? lol you're gonna have to fill and paint, or leave them open...

why not put in some nice looking allen head stainless bolts? might look kind of neat... like some auto parts stores have them for holding on tags.

Which moldings are you taking about? On mine the only thing that had holes behind them are the K5 and silverado badges and the corners on the rear quarter. Everything else is just glued on.

As far as filling the holes on those, now that I have my welder I am going to mig them and grind them down.
