New question on post #5

I'm in the process of install my flat top knuckles onto my 10 bolt. The nut to the lower ball joint will only screw on til the nut is almost flush to the top of the joint, then the whole thing starts to spin. The nut will only go on one way. It's almost as if one side of the nut is messed up, but both nuts to the lower joints are the same way.

I've done a lot of searching for this and I haven't found anything. Has anyone else had this kind of problem with moog ball joints? If not, any advice?

What sweetk30 said. The nut is a crimped lock nut and will only go on one way and will get tight once you get to the crimped portion. The weight from the rig against the taper into the knuckle will allow you to continue tightening the nut to the proper torque value.

After the new ball joints are installed and torqued down (with cross over now), do I need to take it to get aligned?

cant do anything with caster camber with out lots of time and money. so get tape measure and buddy and set your own toe on the truck. seach this has been covered lots of times. thenwhen done center your wheel with the drag link adjustment.
