Quick question, putting new balljoints in my truck. The grease zerks on the upper joint come in from the side at an angle. In the instructions it says to remove the zerk and install a plug to prevent shaft to zerk interference. Now to me, looking at em, it doesnt appear they would hit. Does anyone know 100% either way? If possible, Id like to leave the zerk in so I can hit em with grease from time to time, but dont wanna get it all together, have em hit, and then have to take it back apart....

what axle? i have a dana 44 and i used moog balljoints. i wondered the same exact thing and ended up pulling it all apart.

Those instructions are for the old style that had a zerk hole aiming down at the axle u-joint. The old style you had to install grease zerk, grease ball joint, then remove grease zrk and replace with plug. The new style with the zerk on the side at an angle are no problem and you can leave the zerk in place. Just be careful how you orientate the ball joint so that you can get to the zerk still.
