Some people prefer older trucks and don't care about creature comforts. /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif If I lived out there you can bet your ass I'd drive in a mid-50s pickup every day.

[/ QUOTE ] Creature compforts are like heated leather seats that are powered, A/C, power everything, trip computer, thermometer, compass, 6 speaker stereo with controls on the steering wheel, cruise, etc.... my dodge CTD has all that stuff and those are creature compforts to me. No power steering, no power brakes, bad brake design to begin with.....in California tight streets and heavy traffic? That would be nuts IMHO.

Naw, you just never owned a 50s, 60s truck before, they do kick ass. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gifThat i can say from experiance /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gifLike the only thing i can say from experiance as a matter o fact /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

no, its called fun. my '49 Chevy didnt have power steering, and wore her original manual 4 wheel drums, powered by a 350/350. heat wasnt something we worried about with it, nor were windshield wipers. it was an awesome truck to drive, and got looks every time we had it out. jake is right, there's just something about a 50s or 60s truck, and you will not understand until you own one.
