since im now exploring the world of divorced t-cases

how come no one has used a divorced case behind an already mounted t-case?

with the right t-cases you could get the d-shafts and outputs in the right places,

I would not see this being short wheel base friendly though. crew cabs or burbs?

just early morning ramblings

i have seen this done a few times, ideally with both driveshafts being the same length as to only carry one spare.

Chris Kredit (lostooffroad) has a divorced doubler in his black Ford Truggy. Has been running it like that for years. You saw it last year in Parker.

Harley

I never peaked under his rig but the idea seemed to come to me real easy so I was guessing it had been done for sure.

he has a longer rig if I remember right?

I am thinking of it every day but have not found a divorced 205 yet.
My 465 205 in the truck now is too short I think so it would work well with another 205 :D

I wonder if you could use the unused front yoke as a way to drive a hydro pump for a winch . Front case in gear , rear case in neautral and the front yoke of the front case should spin without the truck moving since both shafts go to the rear case .

Probably spin too slow without custom gearing box on the input of the pump .

Would the output of the first case get in the way of the front drive shaft off the second case? Seems like you'd almost want to make the front drive shaft a 2pc unit.

Oh chit , yea , if he uses a drivers drop case behind a drivers drop case , that would be bad . He would need to use an older Chevy case on the tranny , then the drivers drop divorced behind that , and buy Marvs drivers drop D60 .

have you ever lifted up a np 205!? thats some serious weight, and you wana double them!!! i think i would go with the np203/205 combo instead. alot less weight and lots of places make the setups for them and you can get the cases at losts of junkyards. although im not sure on the years that they used the np203's though.

Doubler is easier . Shawn is just throwing ideas out . Hes the guy building a buggy who wants to convert his 2007 worktruck to solid front axle and four wheel drive because he is a little crazy and likes to work :thumb:
