Finally got my money together to do my build. Before I go buy parts I can't use have some transmission/clutch question. Going from 1977 400/th350/203 to 1980 sm465/205 keeping the 1977 400. When ordering parts it seems like factory 400's with sm465 had 26 spline input, my 350 sm465 has 10 spline input. So can I use a 10 spline 350 clutch on a 400 flywheel? Here's the flywheel http://www.summitracing.com/parts/RAM-1523/

I'm thinking you can as long as the disc is the same diameter as the other one, it shouldn't be an issue.

Clutch discs can be mixed and matched between engines. As long as it fits the input shaft you are fine. Don't mix the flywheels though, 400's use a differnt ballance than the other small blocks.
