I have an 89 k5 with an 8in super lift with the soft ride springs. i hae no front sway bar as it is andwhen i get this thing twisted it always wants to lift the front tires way more than it should. anybody got any suggestions? im trying to keep it cheap with the holidays right around the corner. thanks!

Shackle angle up front is probly crap at best. Move them foward 2" or so, did alot for my truck. Don't forget longer shackles, before I put longer ones on the springs would hit the frame on bumps.

thats true ... i didnt think of that. ill have to go out and twist it up later an see if thats whats going on. do you know any companys that make a strong loger schackle for my truck?

Kert at www.DIY4X.com makes a great product and is very easy to deal with and will even make custom one off parts for you if requested.

Also the more lift you have with springs the less flex you will usually get as the springs are usually stiffer than a shorter lift spring. Also the ride quality goes to crap with higher lift springs which is why alot of people opt for a combination of shackle flip and lift sprinf for the rear.

yeah, ditch the 8" superlifts... some 4" 52's or 56's will actually flex...

Just start pulling leafs out of the front springs.
