Just recieved my Super Duty shock towers from muddybuddy. I have been wanting to get some for a while and now I have them. Little bit of progress with each part. The rust is nothing just minor surface on the shank and face only, nothing on the threads. Will SkotchBrite right up, actually I will probably just Powdercoat them since I have a kit and an electric oven for Powdercoating in my garage. So they will get grit blasted instead. :D

I've got some of those on my truck...they've been cool, but I might need to get something else rigged up to run longer shocks...good luck and post up once they are on there.

Noah,

Where is your shocks located on the axle? on top or factory location. your running Alcans, stock length springs right? Are your shocks too short and you need longer then these towers will allow?

I am runnong stock length front springs and the shocks are mounted in the stock location ont eh axle. I can over extend them and bottom them out...albeit, there are other consequences of doing both of those things...I have added limiting straps...maybe I won't need to move them...truck doesn't run so the ride is currently, very smooth...

your running 38's right? do you bury them in the firewall at all? or do the shocks bottom out first? no up travel bump stops I assume?

My keyboard is whacked out...the keys stick and/or don't work.

I have 40's and bump stops...with the new 40's the bumpstops end upward motion just shy of the firewall and full compression of the shocks. However, I would like a little more room on the up swing. Overall I gained a lot by using the shock towers.
