I bought a set of Bilstein's, and some shock mount tabs from ORD for my 14-bolt rear diff (2-sets ordered 3-sets sent shock mounts in picture from ORD I guess in case I screw up ). I also bought a short axle truss from Barnes/4WD for my leaf spring mounted 14-bolt axle. The Bilstein's are 10-inch stroke shocks for my 10-inch lifted Crew Cab. After taking all the shock mount-to-mount measurements, and going to Bilstein's web site to look at the min/max shock strokes, I called up ORD and told them what I needed. The guy I talked to (who is probably on this web site, and will read this post) recommended a set of 10"-stroke length shocks that have a better street ride than some of the other 10"-stroke shocks. I also bought and installed a same set of Bilsteins from ORD for the front of my Crew Cab ($400 worth of shocks).
I am going to cut-off the original shock mounts on my 14-bolt, and weld on the new ones I got from ORD because of my 10"-lift has rotated the stock shock mounts too much to mount shocks in the original position. The Barnes /4WD short axles truss is specifically designed for older leaf spring mounted 14-bolts. I am starting too accumulate too many project parts, and need to stop buying anymore until I get these all installed.
