1/2 ton status
Well, Saturday was fun. I successfully towed the "Budget Built Suburban" out to Big Al's with my 292 Inline-6 Chevy 1-ton. It was slow going getting there.
But then I unloaded the Suburban, unhooked the trailer, bolted a pair of 33" Boggers onto the 6-cylinder truck and entered it too.
Pictures to come later. Here was my mud rig setup... I got 4 passes with the Suburban in modified class and got stuck one pass, and 3 with the Utility truck in the 6-cylinder class and got stuck 2 times but at least made a full pass on my 1st run with it!!
I don't think I'll do any more heavy towing or mud bogging with the 6-cylinder 1-ton though. But at the end of the day it went back to tow duty and got me and the Suburban back home.
Other friends who came out included Orvillle from Canada to do some filiming (ibexcycles.com), Wayne (mudallica.com) with his 300 inline 6 Bronco, Richard with his Toyota on 38" boggers, Chris with his V8 Toyota on 38's (won 1st place in Modified), Shaun in his V6 Toyota (won 1st in 4&6), Buddy in his K5 Blazer, Jeremy in his Chevy shortbed, Frank and Karen in their blue 427 Jeep (won 1st and 2nd in Super Modified), Sam with his green Jeep rail (thomasfamilyracing.50megs.com), and a bunch of other friends to come cheer us on. Alot of the rigs from the Moyie Mud Bog... a total of about 40 trucks entered, the most they've ever had
Ok heres pictures of the rigs there:
