Let me comment on that overhead console...

I bought the dash and door wood from ucanown1too out of that same conversion Suburban. The finish was wrecked on some of it, similar to what these pictures show. It looks like they used some of that single-step stain/poly stuff in a weird brown. I hit it with stripper, a little light sanding and some new regular poly and it looks just like I started with new wood. So if you don't mind a little work, that console will probably turn into a nice looking piece of furniture.

Picture of console after refinish

I went ahead and had a buddy refinish this console since nobody was interested in it. I had him put a light stain on it that way it could be shaded to preference. Price is now $75 plus shipping for this solid oak overhead console. I do have all the lights that go in it and they are included in that price.
