more tv cable questions.

sorry to reask a question, but i'm still kinda sketchy on the universal tv cable. will it need to be shortened, or does it hook up properly with excess? if it will need to be shortened, can you go into more detail about how to do that. i got a little lost with the tech lingo - still a newb i guess.

from where it mounts to the tranny to where it mounts to the bracket on the motor, that dimention is longer. you will not have to shorten it at all. IIRC the throttle on the diesel is at the front and the universal cable will reach it and have slack.

actually, it connects to the throttle cable on the back side of the motor - probably doesn't make a difference tho.

You will not need to shorten the cable. If it is too long - just loop the excess above the tranny and cable tie it out of the way. I really doubt it will be too long.

The important thing is that the cable is a specific amount longer than the housing so that it can only move through a certain range. You really shouldn't have to modify a new cable.
